Booking Process

When an individual is arrested, they have to go through a booking process. This process involves a medical evaluation, fingerprinting, having a mug shot taken, inventory of property, and a search for any outstanding warrants in other counties or states. When the charges are confirmed, the bail amount is set and the individual is able to be bonded out of jail. In some instances, a bail will not be set, and the defendant will have to remain in custody to go to the first appearance hearing to have the bail set by a judge.
